  • Scapellatǝ – Original Painting of an Orangutan
Scapellatǝ was born from a distant encounter in Indonesia, inside a rescue centre for orangutans. A unique primate, symbol of a species under constant threat from deforestation, carrying both the fragility and the raw strength of the wild.

In my painting, this orangutan looks happy, almost smiling. And yet, for the attentive viewer, there is a hidden detail: with his left foot, he writes a simple and powerful word. “Free.”

At this point, I choose to stop explaining. Because I want you, the viewer, to imagine your own meaning. This work is an invitation to reflect on freedom, on the fragile bond between humans and nature, and on what we may still be able to protect.

👉 A painting that speaks to both heart and conscience.

    About Primate Collection

An expressive bestiary of apes, instincts, and symbols.

This is dedicated to all those people are good looking and funny and a big sense of humor😜🤣. As a wildlife and urban sketcher artist, I’ve always been fascinated by the expressions of animals. This original painting is part of my Primate Collection, a series of black and white acrylic portraits that explore the emotional depth and symbolic resonance of apes and monkeys.

Inspired by an encounter in the dense jungle, I set out to capture not just the likeness of these magnificent creatures, but their essence. In the stark contrast of black and white, each face becomes a mirror: expressive, introspective, almost human. The eyes hold stories. The features, raw emotion. These portraits challenge the viewer to see beyond species, to feel a connection that transcends the boundary between human and animal.

Every piece is unique, painted by hand, and comes signed on the back with a certificate of authenticity. This artwork is not only a tribute to the primal, instinctual world of our cousins, but a call to empathy, reminding us of our shared origins.
