  • Toronto Rewilded – From Skyline to Fur

What if Toronto never disappeared but simply changed shape? In this surreal vision, the city doesn’t collapse, it transforms. Skyscrapers sprout from the ears of a colossal uncle bear. Roads curve up the strong shoulders of a father bear. And nestled in the glowing belly of a mother bear, the heart of the metropolis pulses gently, wrapped in warm fur and forgotten breath.

This artwork reimagines urban architecture as part of a wild family’s body, inviting the viewer into a mythic, tactile vision where nature does not reclaim, it coexists. Inspired by Gilles Clément’s idea of the “Third Landscape,” Toronto Rewilded speaks to a world where cities don't fight against nature, but surrender into it, gently and knowingly.

Part of the Urbanimal Collection, this one-of-a-kind signed piece celebrates the interweaving of memory, ecology, and dream. It’s not post-apocalyptic, but post-anthropocentric: a serene rebirth through the lens of animal myth.

🧭 5. Introduction to the Urbanimal Collection

Urbanimal is a visionary collection that merges cityscapes and wildlife into surreal, poetic coexistence. Each work explores the blurred line between habitat and architecture, instinct and design, memory and future. Inspired by ecological thinking, urban melancholy, and animal mythology, the collection invites viewers to imagine a world where cities breathe and animals dream us back into balance.

Urbanimal is my way of saying that nature doesn’t disappear, it adapts, resists, and reappears through new forms. And this piece is one of them.

This series symbolically and surreally explores the cohabitation of animals with an urban landscape. Here the ecological approach that distinguishes human/nature relationship is central by inviting us to perceive the earth as a living entity, as a large garden in which all the ignored fragments of the landscape offer us opportunities for regeneration. This was inspired by Gilles Clément's concept of "Third Landscape." All works are signed and certified.
