Sidney on Kangoroo
Sidney on Kangaroo – Emotional Wildlife Watercolor
A surreal tribute to the silent giants of the Australian Outback.
They stand tall like ghosts of the Outback... and then they're gone.
"Sidney on Kangaroo" is a haunting, surreal watercolor tribute to the majestic and fragile presence of kangaroos, the silent giants of Australia. This piece was inspired by a brief but unforgettable chapter of my life down under, where I often saw kangaroos lying lifeless by the roadside, like mythic creatures vanishing under the weight of progress and indifference.Part of the Urbanimal series, this artwork explores the emotional crossroads between wild animals and urban environments. Sidney, the anthropomorphic kangaroo, is not just a symbol of nature’s quiet resistance, he is memory, mourning, and myth.

Why invest in original art?
Original art holds emotional, cultural, and collectible value that mass-produced decor can never match. Each piece in the Urbanimal series is a one-of-a-kind visual story, crafted with care, honesty, and symbolic depth. Investing in independent artists not only supports authentic creativity, but also enriches your space with meaning and conversation. This series symbolically and surreally explores the cohabitation of animals with an urban landscape. Here the ecological approach that distinguishes human/nature relationship is central by inviting us to perceive the earth as a living entity, as a large garden in which all the ignored fragments of the landscape offer us opportunities for regeneration. This was inspired by Gilles Clément's concept of "Third Landscape." All works are signed and certified.
