This surreal idea emerged during a journey to the Galápagos Islands, watching a giant tortoise move with timeless slowness, as if carrying centuries on its back. I imagined a forgotten civilization seeking refuge within the folds of her shell, an old city, breathing, alive, and hidden from the noise of the world. 🌆 OldCity in a Giant Turtle is an original watercolor artwork where architecture and organic form merge into one. Houses and towers grow like moss on her shell, suggesting a poetic and impossible symbiosis between the ancient rhythm of nature and the rush of human expansion. This turtle is an ark, a wandering myth, a sentient landscape. Inspired by the giant tortoises encountered in the distant Galapagos Islands

This series symbolically and surreally explores the cohabitation of animals with an urban landscape. Here the ecological approach that distinguishes human/nature relationship is central by inviting us to perceive the earth as a living entity, as a large garden in which all the ignored fragments of the landscape offer us opportunities for regeneration. This was inspired by Gilles Clément's concept of "Third Landscape." All works are signed and certified.

🌀 Cosa ci fa una tartaruga gigante delle Galápagos in città? O meglio: cosa ci fa una città dentro di lei?
Questa visione è nata durante un viaggio nelle isole Galápagos, davanti alla lentezza ipnotica di una creatura millenaria che sembrava portare il tempo stesso sul dorso. In quel momento, ho immaginato che tra le sue pieghe antiche si fosse rifugiata un’intera civiltà, dimenticata o forse reinventata.

🌆 OldCity in a Giant Turtle è una composizione onirica e simbolica, un’opera originale ad acquerello dove il paesaggio urbano si fonde con l’organismo vivente. Le case, le torri e i tetti crescono come licheni sul carapace, suggerendo una coabitazione impossibile e poetica tra ciò che è lento e ciò che è frenetico, tra natura arcaica e modernità invadente.

Questa tartaruga-città è un’arca, un mito ambulante, un paesaggio vivente. Forse è l’ultima speranza di equilibrio tra l’uomo e la Terra.
